What I do...
When love is there, but understanding gets lost.
Many neurodivergent couples find themselves having the same arguments over and over again:
- "You're making excuses."
- "You don't care."
- "You're too sensitive."
- "You're avoidant."
- "Why do we keep fighting about the same thing?"
Often, the problem isn't a lack of love.
It's a lack of translation.
I help people understand what is happening beneath the conflict so they can move from blame and confusion toward understanding, accountability, and connection.
The Translations.
What if what you're seeing isn't what is actually happening?
Many relationship struggles begin with a misunderstanding:
What We Assume:
- Excuse
- Disconnection
- Unwillingness
- Rejection
What May Actually Be Happening:
- Reason
- Difference
- Capacity
- Boundaries
Through therapy, coaching, speaking, and educational resources, I help people translate the hidden meanings underneath conflict.
I work with:
Neurodivergent individuals
- Understand yourself, your relationships, and your needs with greater clarity and self-compassion
Couples
- Learn how to navigate difference, recurring conflict, communication challenges, intimacy, and repair.
Therapists & Professionals
- Training, consultation, and continuing education focused on neurodivergent-affirming relationship work.

Hi, I'm
Dr. Stacey Skowronski.
I am a therapist, educator, and AASECT Certified Sex Therapist specializing in neurodivergent relationships, sexuality, and intimacy.
My work focuses on helping people understand difference without turning it into disconnection.
I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology from Lake Forest College, a master's degree in social work from the University of Chicago, and a PhD with a clinical concentration in human sexuality from Widener University. I have spent more than 15 years helping individuals, couples, and professionals navigate the complex intersections of neurodivergence, relationships, and intimacy.
Whether I'm providing therapy, teaching professionals, speaking at conferences, or creating educational resources, my goal is the same:
To help people make sense of themselves and each other.
